[Extra Food Stop!] Filipino Chicken Adobo

Hi there!

I had to write an extra post because I wanted to share with you a delicious recipe, as well as what a nice husband I have.  First of all, when he got home and I told him I was tired, he said, "Take a nap".  Then when I asked him if he would cook dinner, he said, "Okay".  When he asked if he should cook chicken adobo, I said, "Yes"!  Because he makes the BEST chicken adobo!
This may or may not look appetizing for some, but just think of it as ethnic hot wings!
Note the whole smashed garlic clove and bay leaf.
Here's my plate with chicken adobo and rice.  No vegetables...but I had a salad for lunch, so does that count?
My Hubby's Filipino Chicken Adobo Recipe

Ingredients (amounts are approximations to taste)

1 1/2  lb. chicken wings
1 whole garlic, peeled and smashed
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup white vinegar
1 -2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions (had to edit, but used a couple of his words...)

Dump ingredients into a stockpot, cook to a boil.  Turn down heat, then simmer.  Stir frequently, until liquid reduces down to about 1/4 the original amount and chicken cooked through, approximately 1 hour.

What is your favorite ethnic recipe?  Let me know because I can always use new dinner ideas me or the hubby can try!  Thank you for visiting and  being a part of my journey!

See you later!

Cheryl
