[ShOe Inspired] Socks with Wedges As Seen On ShoeMint

Hi there!

I am ShOe Inspired by trends since this is the second trend I have featured this week, along with black and a jean jacket (as seen in this post)!  First turbans, which I didn't think I could do, but was able to with a little modification (post link here), and now socks with wedges, which I kind of did in the 80's with bobby socks and pumps.  Those of you who are old enough, remember that?!

I wish I had a photo, but just imagine---bone-colored kitten-heeled pumps with pink bobby socks, an over-sized teal Guess shirt with the collar turned up and the sleeves rolled up, a white Esprit skirt, and an asymmetrical, deeply side-parted bob (you can actually see the hair on this post).  That was me, circa 1984, so fast forward 28 years later...

...matte silver wedge sandals, black w/white polka dot socks, an over-sized Guess jeans jacket with the collar turned up and the sleeves rolled up belted over a black maxi dress, and layered long hair with fringe bangs.  This is me circa 2012, so the verdict is...

Outfit - Jean Jacket: Guess (Borrowed from my husband, from the 80's!), Maxi Dress: Andres from Nordstrom (I've had this since the mid-90's!), Belt & Shoes: Target, Socks: Can't remember..., Earrings: Express.

It was a perfect May day last week for me to wear this look, because it was windy and overcast with lower temperature for this time of year, and it kept my feet warm but I was still able to wear sandals! 

Let me know your thoughts...what do you think about this look?  A little different, I know, but it's fun and practical, since it kept the toes warm in this funky Spring weather.  Fashion is all about experimenting and expressing yourself no matter what circa you're in!  Thank you for visiting and being a part of my journey!
