Shoe Blog: Here We Go!

Hi there!

I am both excited and terrified about starting this blog.  I was inspired by a couple of fashion blogs and just have always wanted to do something creative and artistic.  As much as I enjoy working in the medical field, I don't get a chance to be very creative, even though the practice of medicine can be an art.

I have always loved fashion, especially shoes!  In high school, I remember getting a new pair, putting them on in my bedroom and just looking at them from every angle, admiring their beauty and how great they looked.  More times than not, I would decide on what to wear with a particular pair AFTER I had bought them!

So hence my blog!  Shoe Axis is about how shoes are the center of an outfit and how shoes can totally change the look and feel of an outfit.  In broader terms, Shoe Axis is about how certain shoes inspire our lives, whether it be a pair of old boots, a pair of Nike running shoes, or a pair of Christian Louboutins.  It's about our personal style and who we are.

The first pair of shoes (ok, boots) we will work with.  Stay tuned for clothing combinations!

I am running a Half Marathon in Napa Valley this month with my Nor Cal BFF as well as with my eldest daughter and son.  I haven't run a race in almost 3 years and just started running again this year.
Wish us luck!

Okay, I know that I don't have a "live" shot of this beauty, but as you journey with me, you'll see.  My goal is to buy a pair and meet them in person some day :)

Join me as I start this new adventure.  I'd love to hear from you and would like to get to know you, so leave me any comments or suggestions.  Thank you for being a part of my journey!

See you later!

  2. Way cool! It reminds me of Anne Hathaway in 'The Devil Wears Prada' - she was given some beautiful shoes.
Now, on the Sunday early am, I'm putting on my trusted Nike's to tackle our 8-miler...
