[Sole Mates] Manly Style

Hi there!

I would just like to acknowledge all the men out there that are looking for a little style in their life.  Style shouldn't be limited to the female population...we like our men looking sharp and dapper!  Therefore, I want to dedicate this post to all men, as well as to the women who sometimes need to dress them.

I have always liked a well-dressed man.  I think that was what attracted me to my husband when we first met, along with his tall build, and of course his charm and good looks ;-).  Most weekends during college, we would head out to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, to find a tie he could wear to church.  Needless to say, he has quite a collection now.

Men usually only need a few classic pieces in order to walk out of the house looking well-groomed.  The following items can go a long way and can be found in a variety of price points.  Here are some examples of what you may need to get you started or just add to your wardrobe.

Can you believe that he modeled for me?!
Work Clothing - Shirt:  J. Crew Tie:  Ermenegildo Zegna,  Pants:  Dockers, Belt:  Banana Republic,
Shoes:  Allen Edmonds.
My son and nephew in matching J.Crew Suede MacAlister boots at $135...such stylish young men!

Plaid tie $100 at Pierrepont Hicks
This champagne tie is a steal at $7.99 at Amazon.com
Penny loafers, as shown in GQ magazine .   Similar here for $59.00 - 110.00.
You can't go wrong with a pair of classic Sperry's at $80.00!
Alex Stevens Men`s Ribbed Quarter Zip Mock Neck Sweater.  Sale price of  $35.00 at Amazon.com
This is so my husband's style, especially in the 80's & 90's, which consisted of a Polo or Golf Shirt, along with Cole Haan Nubucks, Wingtips, or Oxfords, and Long Shorts or Khakis!
Shorts at $19.99 (Savane Men's Micro Gab Comfort Short)
A grey T-shirt, blue jeans, and a great casual leather jacket (Levi's Men's Leather Classic Trucker Jacket).
On sale at Amazon.com $289.99 from $498.00.

Okay, so this guy hits most of my remaining items:  Dress shirt, Trousers/Khakis, Belt, Watch, Sunglasses, even a nice head of hair!  And even if you don't have the latter, that's truly fine...us women love a man who is confident, kind, and thoughtful.  Basically, just an overall good guy!  Photo from this is not new.
Oh, and a nice, well-tailored suit is a must! From Mad Men - Top hat optional, smoking, not!
Find good quality, well-priced suits on Amazon.com.
Well, that's it for a manly style!  I hope you were inspired by this post, realizing that it doesn't take a lot to have great style.  Which item of clothing featured would you purchase that you, or the man in your life, may not already have?  For more Men's Style, see posts here, here.  Leave me any comments or suggestions you may have below and/or send any photos you may have to admin@shoeaxis.com. Thank you for visiting and being a part of my journey!

See you later!
